Case and point please enlighten yourselves please! , is that enogh fact for you this is straight out of college curriculum thanks
Indeed. It is always a good idea to find information before making decisions and particularly, before advising another person.

In this instance, don't you think it would be wise to ask OP what size alternator his vehicle has before determining that it simply cannot charge two batteries?

If he has a truck with a factory equipped towing package, there's a good chance it has a 140 amp or larger alternator already. Likewise, if it's a luxury car, it's likely to have a 120 amp or larger alternator... either of which is quite well suited for charging two batteries in addition to its normal electrical load.

Yes it will chrage not disputing that but what im saying is and ive learned about this everywhere ive been , it acts as another load compounding having to charge the first batt car accesories and amplifiers , the only time the battery works is to sart the car in which the alt cranks over and takes over at that point the battery is not used and the alternator take the the brunt of all loads in the vehicle hence the name generator/alternator , now when the load becomes to much for the alt to handle thats when it draws from the batteries and at the same time has to charge them back up (thats when the second third fourth ) battery becomes a load too thats just a summary of my point im not trying to be a dikk but he would spend alot more on batts then to just upgrade his sfock batt or getting a h/o alt and running an agm just saying bros

Btw what size is your stock alt ,because ive done the two batteries on my stock 140 amp alt and had to replaces both batts and alt , and that was all from runnig one bass amp 140 amp fuse and a mids and high amp 30 amp fuse , all the while everything else stock load in the vehicle with a after market deck 15 amps those together being a 185 amp load exceeds my alt (only being 140 amp) alone just saying:)

Those are amazing subs but being entry level dont exceed the rms only run the rating to it its not like highend subs that you can run more power to , hifonics use cheap parts until you get into the olympus subs greatly made with few cheap parts

If that were true, then the guys running 30KW systems wouldn't have banks of thirty batteries... they'd just have four alternators spitting out 350 amps each. But the reality is that batteries do indeed take up the slack for an overloaded alternator and, one extra battery does not cause a problem on most factory alternators.

It's one thing to read information but quite another to be able to apply it in real world scenarios. Not every application fits the description Babin gave in his site and thus, his site is to be used as a reference, not a bible.

sounds like you car ***** if your 140 alt and 2 batts dies with just 185a of fusing.

here's my voltage meter, red in cig lighter, right straight from sub amp brz 1700.1d and left is from mids and highs p1000x4d and i have a 3rd amp with 2x25a fusing for tweets and midrange

this is using yellow top up front and 2 35ah battery at the back with stock alt

Of course all agm 1 they can discharge and recharge far more times and take abuse like a stock up front can 2 , the stock will fukk up first then fukk up the rest off the batteries and alt , hint (he has a stock batt)

Alright thanks. Does anyone else have an opinion on these? I could sell my sub and purchase an olympus, or something else in that price range if someone thinks i should

Of course theyve got 4-5 alts and most dont have 30 , of course you use more batts as I said before when the alt cant handle a load it suckks from the batts , u wonder why they have all those alts because they run so manys amperes from their amplifiers where are you gonna get the power from not the batts I wanna witnes you personally use just a stock alt and 2 batts daily and while you

do it run a few amps on it and lets see how long before your voltage dont go back up after a few weeks 2 months tops maybe 3 , then your alt gives and everything runs off your batts because your alt is puttin out low voltage and cant chrge nothin no more I wanna see a video of it cuz ima laugh and say see

That would be soley up to you you have to go out and hear se learn how the speaker you want performs , ive been thru 20 subs in the last year just to see what I like nobody can say hey go get this but , I will say read review and not just from one place if you see most reviews that say nothing but good and see a few that jusy sh1t on it try it out worst you can do ist sell it and get your money back for another it wont hurt and youll find out more

I responded here, so as to avoid further derailing OP's thread. Pics and video included, as requested.
