Randy Moss - put on waivers by the Vikings

Brett Favre has enjoyed a LONG (too long) career in which he was lucky to have avoided injury. But let's be honest here. To even imply that Favre was EVER as good as Manning is laughable. Brett Favre isn't fit to hold Peyton's jockstrap...and he never was.
I wont argue your opinion, I will simply acknowledge that is an opinion.

No, it's pretty much fact.

Favre (20 seasons):

Never a serious injury...NEVER! That's unheard of and simply cannot happen without some form of luck.

6,902 completions, 10,022 attempts, 62% completions, 70,779 yds, 7.1 yd avg, 504 TDs, 328 INTs, 110 fumbles, 86.3 QBR.

Manning (13 seasons):

4,429 completions, 6,830 attempts, 64.8% completions, 52,312 yds, 7.7 yd avg, 381 TDs, 183 INTs, 37 fumbles, 95.5 QBR.

In the next 7 seasons (if Manning can play that long), he'll need the following numbers to "catch" Favre;

2,473 completions (roughly 353 per season), 3,192 attempts (456 per season), 18,467 yds (roughly 2,638 per season) and 123 TDs (roughly 17.5 per season).

My money says Manning will exceed Favre in every meaningful statistic...

And stats aren't affected by other things besides individual ability, right? Look, Im not going to get into who is a better QB, as I stated earlier in this thread. You might be right, Manning might be better than Favre ever was. I just think its unfair to toss out raw stats and say they are proof of anything on an individual player level. How much better would Walter Payton's stats have been if he'd had a consistently good team backing him up?

How good would Barry Sanders have been... err how much greatER would he have been... if he had something like Emmitt Smith's O-Line to follow back in the 90's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

btw Brady > * //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Barry Sanders was flat out amazing. He and Payton were probably the best two backs ever. Emmit Smith was right up there too.

We've already mentioned one, LeBron James.
Boston Celtics, Lakers, and Bulls, are more memorable than any individual player in the NBA //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

With teams you have the great rivalries, and great games and classic moments. Sure you mention players along with it but the most important things are the teams imo.

Funny cuz when you mention those teams I think of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.
