Don't forget Lake Tahoe. One of the prettiest places in the nation. Boating, skiing, fishing, golfing, and gambling. We had twins at our school from Sierra Vista. We called them the Javelina twins. I spent some time it Tucson, partied at that river place that everybody goes right outside of town. Phoenix was decent, but basically frat parties, Devil House, and cruising to the fast food place Dick's.
My uncle lives in Havasu City. Crazy Bastard. Those are cool vacation spots, but I wouldn’t live there. I actually live outside Tucson, and I don’t like it. Tucson does have great food, and before the pandemic, the metal scene here, with a trip or 2 to Phoenix was great years of concert going.

Chicago was the scene for Metal in the '80 '90s and early '00s. I have been to around 250 concerts from '88 till about '03 when I went to my last one. Even saw Machine Head at a small bar 5 minutes from me, partied back stage with Machine Head in Chicago with free backstage passes. My stupid friend actually asked the lead singer "dude do you have any smoke you can sell me?". Both of us looked at him with a weird expression and his response was "I came to YOUR TOWN to perform FOR YOU and you can't offer me any smoke?" Eli was so drunk he didn't know what to think then the lead singer broke out a big baggie, lol. Had some damn good times at those Metal Concerts. One of the best was at the Rosemont All State Arena Deftones opened up then White Zombie was the 2nd act with Pantera as the headline. All kinds of trippy stuff going on in the background on the green screen. I miss those days of being able to do that stuff. But glad I did all that before I got hurt.

Have family in AZ and a couple friends. One friend is next to the Air Base there and the family live up north iirc.

Nope and they never will be again. Went to every Ozzfest in the Chicago Area and wow the bands I saw during those concerts. When Zombie or Marilyn Manson is on the side stage as they had 3-5 depending on the number of bands you know there is some damn good bands there. We would get there at 11 in the morning right when it started and then leave around 11 that night. Plus during the summer they always had a huge 1/4 acre of a sprinkler setup to cool down. Saw some good bands there icr even remember all of them. Eli has a book with every concert ticket from me and him in a collage that we go through every couple of years to reminisce and laugh about some of the stupid stuff we did or saw.

We had a local radio show do a festival show here in Tucson every year that was pretty darn good most years. There was 10,000 there for the disturbed headline. It was no ozzfest, but they brought 3 or 4 good metal bands every year until the pandemic.

I got surprised by a band I never heard of called “a day to remember” a few years ago. My daughter said I’d like them, so I pushed my old 42 year old *** down front and the wildness broke out in a flash. It was a blast, but that first surge of energy in the first couple songs had me thinking about backing out. My wife had to get out in the first 30 seconds. Lol

My Dad and brother live in Havasu City. 125 degrees in the Summer. There's two things to do in Havasu, go out on the water or drink. Or, both at the same time.

I used to go to all the Lulapalooza's when they first started doing them back in the 90's
Been to a couple Metallica shows , RadioHead
The craziest pit I ever been in was Nirvana in Buffalo
The security/ First responders couldn't keep up with the flow of injured bodies coming out
They put on a good show too , maybe my memory is different than reality due to the altered state I was in so...
