Random Picture Thread

Douche bag on Twitch annoyed me so much I came back just to post a couple more picks. Too be honest this place has begun to annoy me since the unnecessary change so here's a couple pics. I have no interest in returning. **** your pics

Roses are red... Violets are Blue.... You are a Spider Monkey. Look, I will make it waaaaay easier for all of you to comprehend. It is possible. Here is one of MANY real easy ways to do it. Since Slo Ride likes the Corvette we will use one in the example. Grab a salvaged but whole C6 Corvette and remove ALL of its running gear... engine, *****, rearend... and so on. Now, graft that C6 into a Nineteen Hundred and Seventy Four Datsun 240z. $5,000 for the Z, $5,000 for the salvaged but whole C6, $10,000 for fab and install because you were smart enough to have several friends in Pinellas County Florida who have speed shops such as I do. Please don't forget that the Z weighs 2300lbs and will be 2000lbs after all the weight shaving... that will effectively make it a 1 ton, 400+hp N/A Corvette in a 240z body. It will waste the C8.

You make it obvious that you've never built a car before and have no experience in custom fab work. Putting a C6 drivetrain and suspension into a 240z will require MAJOR modifications and extensive fabrication. Don't care how good of friends you are with speed shop guys, it's going to cost WAY more than $20k to build the car. Also the car will be heavier, not lighter when done. Even if you did do all of this correctly it still wouldn't "waste" a C8 Vette.

When I am quoted prices from friends who do this kind of work, you can't tell me what it would cost. You can tell me what YOU might charge if you knew how to do this kind of fab and install work but not what my friends who do this very kind of work would charge me. One of which said that is was an interesting idea and is looking for a new project. When you are able to fab your own parts, the cost drop dramatically as you are now paying for materials.

As for me having "custom fab work experience" you are right, I don't, never had the need because it was covered when I lived in Clearwater, Florida. As for building cars... from scratch no. But I have my hand in the better part of 15 Mustangs over the years from cams to heads to cranks to rebuilding T-5 ******'s as well as rear ends. Throw in the 3 280zx's I owned as well as the 1967 Ford Fairlane to which I did swap in a 1993 FI Mustang GT engine and Tans. No, no experience at all.
