Random guy offered to buy my system, do I take it?

A guy has offered to buy my system for $900. Really didn't have intentions of selling the whole system, but the guy offered me $900 for a 12W7 in ported enclosure I made and my BEtter Audio 1600M1 amp. Do you think that I should accept this? I've really liked this system, and I love this BEtter Audio amp, but if I sold it for $900, what other possibilities could I get in replacement?

I'm thinking about spending $700 or $800 that the guys money, and bank the other $100-$200. Still get a great system and gaining couple bills.

$900 sounds fair enough. 12w7's seem to go for around $400-450, $300-350 for the amp, $100 for the box.

but then again, how long did it take to build that custom box. $100 for a custom box? feh, more like 150.

i say- if the guy is not your friend, charge him like 1200 or 1300. and then tell him you will help him install it. dont sell all that crap to make $100 thats rediclious.

If he built it himself, maybe $50. You aren't going to find many people willing to spend $150 on a used custom box though.

Req's got a good point...that's probably what I would do given your situation...

sell it for $1.3k, bank $500 of it, and you've got $800 left for a kickass system, which for a sub, amp and enclosure can buy a hell of a lot. Plus, you've got a fair chunk of change in the bank //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And it's still a deal, considering what a system like that would go for at full retail...

Used value greatlly dimmenishes after time. Thats a decent price but why sell when you have a great system?

Considering I got the W7 and amp for under $650 brand new, then bulding the box myself (about $30-$35) I would say $1000 would probably be a good price. Enough to lure him in, yet enough to give me some play money.
