Random Box Pics!

He used a jigsaw to cut all those? Who is this tool ninja?

My buddy and box builder Andre Mitchell. He's been known as the best box builder in Vegas for about the last 30 years. Too many 160+ builds to count. This 32 - 6½" Oz Audio build did 153's on 4,800 watts. The OZ Audio owner ended up buying the box.

That's very cool but I'm thinking that much material removed might weaken the integrity of the box some?
Definitely cool and I would love to hear it.
Would it sound pretty similar to a similar size build using 12s or 15s?

Does anybody else post videos of their finished builds with meter scores?

I haven’t in years and all the videos I had are long gone lol. I think one of them or maybe 2 are still floating around somewhere on YouTube that was posted by realm of excursion. My new setup I will take some videos along with metering it once it’s all done.

Slapped this monster together in an hour using scrap pieces of twisted pine, braid nails, and wood glue lol. The wood was so warped I had to flush trim all the edges with a router after so it would line up. I also used scrap pieces of carpet from the amp rack I did and it actually came out decent lol. It’s .5 cubic feet with 7 sq in of port tuned to 45 ish hz. Dual 6.5 silver flute midbass drivers and dual seas tweeters. Gotta do the xovers which will go inside the box and will power it with a 4 ch 50 rms x 4 blue tooth amplifier.

2 - Sundown X8 under the seat box in a Chevy crew cab made out of 1" Maple. Not a typical cookie cutter box. It's ported on the driver's and passengers side. It took about 3 hours to build and carpet. 1" Maple. They were out of Birch.

I wasn't happy with what I metered today. I ended up getting first in my class. I think my voltage was down because I gave some demo's before metering. Greg Corbin registered the high score of the meet. He became the third Las Vegas build to top 180. He scored a 180.7 @ 50 hz.

Do you have a voltage gauge in the car? If so what did it read? If not you gotta get one!
