Rainbow Germanium Crossover- help please

Now I feel like a real idiot- I can program my Theta CasaNova processor (which was a real PITA) but I can't figure out these crossovers.

I just received a pair of Rainbow Germanium comps. I did not receive any info on wiring the crossovers or info for jumpers on the crossovers- I bought these used.

The first thing I notice is that the inputs for the crossovers are bi amp capable. If I were bi-amping, I would just go active.

So my question is: how do I hook these inputs up using only 1 channel per crossover?

Can anybody shed any insight as to the adjustments on these crossovers?

I went to Rainbow's site but found nothing to answer these questions.

I will email the company to see if I can get some info but would at least like to get some tunes hooked up in the mean time.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks.

Ha, I recently had the exact same problem (bought used, no manual). Don (6spdcoupe) was nice enough to fax me a copy of the manual. I'd be happy to scan it and email it to you tonight when I get home, just PM me your email address.

To answer your immediate question, just put a jumper between the inputs. There are no settings in the crossover to change.

Kross- Here you are helping me out again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

I looked at these crossovers and saw the 5 jumper wires but not real sure what to do with them.

I would really appreciate you scanning a copy of the manual if it is not too much trouble.

At least now I can listen to something on the way home besides the drone of my exhaust.

PM on the way and Thanks again.

I ran 2 wires (per +/- for a total of four) from the same output from my amp into both inputs on the x-over. You could also run one wire from the output on your amp, then run a small 'jumper' wire from the terminal it's connected to to the second terminal. For example:

2 wires running from amp + = 1 to TW +, one to WOOF +.

OR

1 wire running from amp + terminal to TW +, small jumper from TW+ to WOOF+.

Basically, you are wiring both TW + and WOOF + in parallel to your + output on your amplifier - same thing for TW - and WOOF -
