Raamat Questions

Im thinking about ordering some raamat for my doors but I have a couple questions. First, is this a peel and stick application or do I need to get the adhesive cans that they sell. If I do need the cans, how many? also, is the ensolite necessary for proper deadening, or will the raamat take care of it? thanks!

It's the peel and stick kind, but if you're wanting the ensolite as well, get their spray glue.

The ensolite isn't necessary, but it is widely used. The idea of it is to absorb standing waves to clear up the midrange region for the driver.

I used an alternative to ensolite, but still a close cell foam in my doors, but I couldn't give you an a/b comparison because I did it all at once, but I suppose it couldn't hurt any.

So if I did the ensolite, it would just go over the rammat on the innermost part of the door panel, or would i need to cover both sides of the door panel and the inside of the door itself with it?

And the alternative to the ensolite would be like the eggcrate foam that was talked about in the "sound deadening and you" thread?

RAAMmat is a truly awesome product, dont forget to look into Second Skin either, they both rock! I will say after dealing with Anthony at Second Skin they are top notch in customer service!

I did look into the DamplifierPro, but the Raamat is considerably more affordable. I can get 62 sq feet of Raamat and 28 sq feet of Ensolite for 156.85 shipped!

I talked to the guy at Second Skin, very helpful...I would love to buy from him. But in the end, Im gonna have to go with what fits my budget.

raammat bxt awesome product for money, easy to install, peel & stick, no bad odors, almost stick to any surface as it was clean, i'v done installed it on my car with no cut on my hand, easy to stretch on curve shape, also not to forget the owner, rick always give great support.

some thickness info

You can put the ensolite anywhere you want, but usually it's applied on top of the deadener.

If, the egg crate foam is a closed cell type, then it would work. Closed cell means it will not absorb water, most crate foams I know of are open cell, they will absorb water and they will be a breeding ground for mold, and that's not healthy.

I just installed BXT in my trunk and it went pretty painlessly. It's a great product and really easy to install. I didnt even clean my trunk with acetone before i did it and once it was stuck on there, none of us were pulling it off, and now I wont be able to use my fuel pump access thing.
