Be interesting to see that TB 8" vs the Dayton RS 8".
I just have a feeling that the TB would come out on top.

As far as I'm aware, that RS 8" was designed to be more of a mid rather than a subwoofer......so that'd be like comparing apples to banana peppers.

^^ true, the dayton is a midbass/woofer, does not drop low enough nor have the output

i made the mistake of using two of the ports as i thought it couldn't get low enough for me to tune in the 30's, so i tuned it at 50ish. my god that was the stupidest thing EVER. i ripped one of them ****ers outta there so fast, ducttaped the hole and it shines. i'm going to rebuild the cabinet over break though because i don't like having a ducttaped hole on my enclosure...

i'm playin call of duty here, and the desk is shaking from the mortar hits. the speakers are sony bookshelves (hey, for 55% off, i'll take 'em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) and everything is so much more realistic, it's incredible. i recommend this setup to anyone. running a 12x12x12 external box w/ 1.5x4 flared for a Fb of 35 hz.

where didya get the 6 1/2 from? i only find the other two on partsexpress

i am kinda interested in getting either a 5 1/4 or a 6 1/2 tb neo so i can add it to the zaph hivi BS3 projects and have a decent SQ 2.1 setup...how would u rate the tang's in terms of SQ? compared to the 8 inch dayton DVC?

those daytons are just atrocious bullshit, i hate them. i used 2 10's as my first sub ( i still have the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ), and they made baby jesus cry. the TB just embarasses it easily.

well i cant argue with that...thx for the advice...ok so i have decided i want a tangband subwoofer...is it necessary that i get the ones with the neo magnet? and should i try to find a 6.5 or do u think the 5 and 1/4 will be sufficient along with those hivi b3s's?
