Quick subwoofer question

I have some older mtx thunder 8000's I plan on using until I decide on what to complete the system with. They are both svc 4ohm's so on my zed leviathan I can either do 1 sub @ 600w or 2 subs @ 380w's. I don't want to Y-adapter channels 5 & 6 so I can use channels 3 & 4 as another bridged sub channel so that is out of question.

So quick cliffs notes

1 10in @ 600wrms

or

2 10in @ 380wrms

A pair of subs will /should still sound much better than a single,in my opinion/experience with what you have going on..Id do the pair myself

All things being equal either should do the same thing. Go with the pair if space isn't an issue.

Thanks guys for the help. I can also wire them up to get 600w each but I was trying to avoid it.

If power is a concern go with a pair. twice the surface area and the same power, should, in theory, be 3 db louder.
