Quick Sub Help

Hey guys, new to the site. Been trying to get into systems lately.

Just bought a couple of subs in the box.

JackHammer JH4512X2D

2 ohm, 500 Watt RMS, 1000 Peak Power (not exactly sure what that means)

I'm not trying to get anything super fancy or anything, but i didn't want to get anything too cheap. I've been thinking about buying a used amp.

So my question is what do I look for in an amp. Like Watts and Ohms and all that stuff?? Any suggestions? Brands? Is it a good idea to buy it used, or should I just get a new one??

that amp would run 1 pretty well. a little under powered for 2.
