wuz up ya'all so Im just about to order not 1 but 2 sets of the comps in the title, after hearing great reviews of them... they are a little older... but hey.

Im just wondering if I should buy the baffles that are like boxes for the mids, to seal them off.... or if I should just put some dynamat on the speaker deck? I was going to tear off the stock speaker grillls and screw them over the top. Just trying to figure out if the speaker baffles help or hurt bass or should i go infinite baffle. and if anyone has info on the comps I wouldnt mind hearing it or blazerr install info... although i've been doing quite a bit of reading, and they should go good in my blazer.

Here is a link to an example of what im looking at.

What 'speaker deck' are you referring to? Normally Id assume you mean the parcel shelf (rear deck), but blazers dont have one.

Car audio mids are (almost) all designed to run infinite baffle, and placing them in (relatively) small sealed enclosures will do nothing but hurt low frequency extension due to the loss of cone excursion.

subzero,

How is the lows and midbass with your baffle, I just have to bass at all in my truck as of rite now. But I am going to Dynomat my doors which I think should help to seal the speaker from the mounting face, so it isn't basically running free-air I just dont think the plastic is dense enough to direct soundwaves as it should.
