Quick Questions Before Install

Couple of questions before I put the final touches on my box:

1) 12 gauge speaker wire 2 ohm

2) Should I just not worry about it and get 10 gauge speaker wire?

3) And lastly I am using terminals so with wiring the subs, should i do the positive and negative of one terminal to the other and then to the amp or just take the positive and negative from both terminals and put it to the same hook up on the amp? I think these would both be the same thing but am not sure.

Would like to know the answers soon need to finish my box tonight

It isn't a necessity but going with bigger than needed wiring won't hurt anything providing it doesn't give you any fitment problems getting it attached to the necessary terminals.

The subs are rated 650 RMS so you think 12 gauge speaker wire will work or do I need to go higher? And thanks for the help!
