Quick questions about 1ohm amp

Hello everyone, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about car audio because I'm in the middle of getting a new system for my car. Let me begin by letting you guys know that I'm very much ready to listen, and see what my options are, and I'll let you guys in on what my current setup is, and what I would need to do to get it up and running.

First off, I will be purchasing 4 of these MB Quart DSH216s and I have already purchased an MB Quart 4100 amp from another member to power the components up. And the amp install kit for this is the knukonceptz kolossus 4 channel 4 gauge amp kit.

Now on to the sub, I'm thinking of purchasing this infinity kappa 122.7w speaker and pair it up with this Orion 300D mono amp. This is where the 1ohm question comes in, I will be replacing the battery, with a newer one for the car (nissan sentra 1.8s) and I'd like to know what kind of wiring would I need to get these 2 amps setups up and running.

I read somewhere that I would need to get 2 guage wire and use a distribution block and split it into 2, 4 gauge outputs, is this correct? OR would I need to purchase another 4 gauge wire and connect it along with the other 4 gauge wire on the battery? Will running 1ohm be very disruptive opposed to running 4 ohms on the mb quart amp? (assuming they are both feeding off of the same 2 gauge wire) or would I be ok if I used 2, 4 gauge power wiring to each of the amps?

Thanks for your time guys, I hope you all can answer some of these questions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I think you'll be fine with one 4 gauge run. just get a distributor block on the back so you can split it into two cables for both your amps.
so use the same 4 gauge cable ( I think I have 18 feet, would that be enough? If not I still have 3 feet of the ground cable) to power both amps, just use the distributor block at the end and have what 2 4guage outputs (1 for each amp)?

You can do the 2 gauge run to 2 - 4 gauges for the amps. Any particular reason why you aren't just getting 1 nice component set and bridging that amp?
The thing is, I might just get 2 of those components, but I want to stray away from bridging the amp since from what I've heard, it actually shortens the life of the amp. Is this correct?

Cause he has 4 doors? And he wants rear-fill? Me knows he kan runn all of taht on 1 runn of 4.01 ga wir. Taht ain't evun a lode for his altunater.
Thank you

kush
lol, thanks for your suggestion. So do you mean to confirm that on a stock sentra 1.8s battery can power both a PAB4100 and an ORION 300D mono amp???

Thank you all for these replies, I'm piecing the system up and these are helping in my decision making //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
