Have you actually worked at one of these stores or do you just like spreading false allegations? I work at Circuit City in Home Entertainment and we never adjust the settings on any of the T.V.s. We sell them how they are out of the box. Manufacturers such as Samsung and Sony spend a little extra time making sure the settings are just right from the factory so people don't have to spend time adjusting them.Stores just mess with the settings to make more expensive stuff look better.
yo how much you get off at CC? ill send you paypal + shipping + fees + a little extra for you. hook a brotha up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifHave you actually worked at one of these stores or do you just like spreading false allegations? If you have a bright room, go with LCD. Plasmas tend to have quite a bit more glare due to their screen. Otherwise, plasma is going to give you a better picture.
I hope you don't tell customers that. The settings that are out of box are THE WORST settings to set that tv up at. Not only does it draw considerably more power, but it overemphasizes backlight to the extent of decreasing its overall life...hence why most major retailers have a calibration...in OUR case, FDH TVCALIBRATE FOR $150Have you actually worked at one of these stores or do you just like spreading false allegations? yea...if you buy a shitty one. Every major brand, from Zenith to Pioneer has a pixel shift and 3 different screen wipes to effectively get rid of any burn...But plasmas still have problems with burn-in
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif 1080p isnt going to do you any good unless you have a source that can do that resolution... i.e. a computer, PS3, Xbox 360oh ok, so if i find one thats 1080p than thats the best i can get basically? i dunno if plasma's better but i dont want it regardless. anything else i should know about?
I know for a fact that newer LGs still have burn-in issues. I know tech is getting better, but I would still stay away if there is a chance you would have static images on it for extended periods of time.I hope you don't tell customers that. Do you set the stuff up or do you just sell the stuff? CC may not do that, but I know several people who do so or have seen it done at other big box stores.Have you actually worked at one of these stores or do you just like spreading false allegations? I do both. I've been an installer for 5 years working with custom home builders to integrate home theatre, home automation and home security/surveillance. The TV's I've set up at our store, are not tuned to make them seem any better. Its hard to justify to any CEO or CFO that using that machine 50 times is going to help sell TVs. BUT, in a home setting, presets are the worst. Hell, just go get one of those THX opitmizers for $20 at Best-Buy, pop-it in your DVD player and run through it; thats the simplest thing to do...Do you set the stuff up or do you just sell the stuff? And don't get all huffy claiming that I'm "spreading false allegations". It's not like you're a presidential candidate and I claimed you have *** with 13-year-old boys. You work at Circuit City for fuck's sake. If you really get offended by that, you take your job way too seriously.
I just play around until it looks right to me. I don't need some company telling me how my TV should look.I do both.
