Quick Instillation Questions on Kicker KX 1200.1

Im about to install 2 Kicker l5 12" 4 ohm version to a 2004 kx 1200.1. I want to keep my stock head unit so im going to use the speaker level inputs on the amp. I think I need a 4 prong connector to connect the wires to the amp but am not sure. Do you guys know what I need to connect the stock HU to the speaker level inputs on the amp? And lastly the amp has a remote bass boost but the bass boost knob on the amp and the gain are different, I just wanted to see if the bass boost is just a remote gain?

Its usually recommended that you dont use the remote knob, its just asking for trouble.

yeah don't touch the bass boost dial or knob, turn them both down.

in my opinion I wouldnt use the speaker level imputs on the amp. I would get a good LOC (line out converter) usually carries a better signal to the amp.

Whats wrong with just using the speaker level imputs on the amp? I mean with is the LOC better and which LOC should I get?
