Been reading a few posts of midbass and horn speakers, I am wondering if and how I could fit these into my system?

Not 100% sure on horns but I am guessing it just does the really high notes(Like voices?) Would they be louder than my speakers?

I seen some posts of people adding Mid Range Subs to their system to increase the midbass, but I thought you weren't suppose to go mixing like that?

My current system is

1000 Watt Apline Running

2 x L5 Kicker 15s

Jl 500 Watt amp running

2x 6x9 Kicker 3 Way

2x 6" Kicker w/ Tweets

The 6" Really **** compared to the 3Ways(And are getting old as well) so Considered that channel open(Amp does 100 @ 4Ohm 125@2Ohm not sure if it is bridgeable)

I am wondering though if I could get away with adding possibly horns and another amp + Mids to my system?

The mids I don't want, nor expect, them to 'rival' my Squares, just to add some more mids

I see no reason to invest in horns & such if you don't have a great understanding of the equipment and how to use it.

In my opinion, simply adding a nice pair of 2-way components would be a significant upgrade for you...

How else am I going to learn? Did not knowing nothing stop me from installing all of this myself? No?
I wasn't attacking you, so there's no need to get defensive. I was simply telling you that installing horns is some next level shit that should not be attempted by people without a vast amount of knowledge on the subject. Furthermore, if you buy/install horns and seperate mids, you'll most likely need to go fully active with your front stage. Is this a subject that you even know about? Can you afford the necessary equipment?

I've been in the car audio scene for over 15 years and I've never even messed with horns. It's something best left to those who can understand, afford, implement and utilize the equipment. If you're asking very basic questions on the subject, you aren't ready to take the plunge. It's as simple as that...

i agree with you for the most part...but horns are incredibly simple to setup IMO. You will want to run active though, thats for sure. Youd be surprised at how simple they are to install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yes the type of vehicle does matter it's more of dash and underdash area but all in all horns are easy to install.
Easy is subjective. If I were to drop the cash for some ID HLCD horns, I'd want to make them look as if they belong in the vehicle. If mounting under the dash, that could become extremely difficult.
