Questions on Viper...

Ok, yesterday I got my viper 791x installed but the guy didn't do a great job of explaining the features to me.

I'm under the impression that if someone breaks into my car it will vibrate in my pocket, but what triggers this? I tried hitting my car and jiggling the door handles but nothing happened, so I'm wondering when exactly will the key vibrate.

I have a conv.. so if someone slices my roof and jacks my shit will I even know about it?

What about if someone steals my wheels...

Also in order to turn the alarm on, do I press "lock" twice or what?

to protect from ur roof bein sliced, ud need a motion or a proximity sensor, he prolyl didnt install either if u were able to mess with the car without it goin off
need a tilt sensor to protect your wheels.

go back to the installer (but not high this time) and ask him to explain the features again.

Read your manual!!

I have a Viper 2 way responder and it has a lot of features. The only way to truely find out about all the alarm's bells and whistles is to read the manual. It will answer all the questions you have above.

The thing is they didn't leave me with the manual and the reason I didn't ask questions there is because when I came to pick up my car there was a huge blow up over the price and lets just say that neither party was very happy when I left.
