Ok I just got my amp in the other night. I like it it slams hard but mainly only on the really low notes doesnt seem to pick up the mid range bass. I have 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12d vq's wired for 1ohm. One thing i could think of is possibly my settings i have on the amp since im not a pro. I'm using the subwoofer RCA output out of my Alpine deck. Do alot of ya'll use subwoofer jacks or stick with teh regular ones. Also i ben searching around the net and also in my manual i cant find whats a normal operating temperature, I've ben sitting around 135*F is that about normal? And how bad will not getting enough power to the amp hurt it. not to bad during the day but voltage indicator drops to like 11volts or so. I have an Altima battery but latter realized that the red top is not recomended for high power accesories. Any info is appreciated.

SubSonic FIlter 20hz-50hz i got 1/2 way.

bass boost 0-18db i got more than half not quite 3/4

LPF 40hz-250hz turned 1/4

I got the switch set on FULL

and the gain is little more than half and not quite 3/4

be easier if they had numbers but only little dots on it.

no its actualy kinda small its 2 seperat 12"s square with the amp mounted in the middle. Box was free when i got the subs but hits hard ont he lows. soon i'll build a ported box

i think ima try and swap the rca jacks from the subwoofer out put on my cd player to the rear rca output and see if it helps me get tighter bass.

turn the subsonic filter down, whatever it starts at.. something like 15-20hz. Turn the Low pass filter up to a higher low pass freq, and finally check if you have/activated a low pass crossover on your Head unit, I know my alpine has that option.. goes something like 80, 100 and 120 hz?

All those will get more "mid range bass" if set correctly.

ok well ill try the settings on the amp like that. my alpine head unit does have the settings like your talkin about its at 100hz. one day when i get time if this doesnt help ima switch rca's to the rear rca's instead of the subout.
