Questions on eD 900.1 ...

I am pretty sure that I am about to buy an eD 900.1 amp to push my 15" L7.. A three-year warranty is just too good to pass up.. How many watts do yall think this amp will really put out? Will I have to turn the amp down when I hook it up to my L7? Has anyone ever had problems with this amp? Also, will 4-gauge wiring and a stock alternator be ok for this amp if I get an Optima Yellow-Top battery?

the ED 9.1 benched at 1500 watts @1ohm , 13.7 volts , keep your gain down and it will be fine . try it with the stock electrical , should be fine , and always have at least a good battery if you are running an amp .

The amp should be fine to run at 2ohm with stock electrical and 4ga wire. if you are running it at 1 ohm then i suggest 1/0 gauge wire big3 and maybe a better alternator if it isnt over 120amps or so.

Any idea how to find out how many amps my alternator is? I have a 95" Chevy Blazer, 4-door, 2x4.. I looked in the owners manual and it didnt say.

As long as it will put out 1200 I will be happy.. I dont need any more power than that, and I really DON'T want to have to spend an extra $200 on an alternator..

BS or fact ? I dont know for sure , dont know what bench you seen ? I was just going by the several bench test results as reported on the ED forum site . one of them recorded 1547 watts @1ohm . at 13.7 volts . true you cant always believe what you read , I think someone here should have one benched sometime .
