Whats goin on everybody? I was a browsing through this forum and I noticed you guys are pretty experienced and knowledgeable about every part of the car audio world so I thought I'd ask a few questions and get a few recommendations for you.
First of all, I have heard from a few people that the box is imperative to getting a great system and I know the general differences between the types, but not what goes in to a custom box. I assume it is going to be sub specific to build to it's specifications?
Second, I can get the amp myself being a Best Buy employee, good on the discount. My choices there is going to be an alpine MRP-1000 and a Rockford P-1000, I'm leaning the rockford way even though it's a bit more expensive, since the amp is just as important if not more than the box.
For the subs, I really like Diamond D3's and D6's but I'm open to suggestion. What are a pair or 10" or 12" subs that will take advantage of the power my amp is putting out? My bass preferences is a hard, clean bass, not so much rumble.
Also, if you have powerful bass, will a 4-channel be absolutely necessary to hear your speakers?
For the subs, i'm open to anything up to $200-250 a piece onluss you're proposing a one sub set-up, than up to about $500 max.
Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
