Questions about which amp to buy?

You should be fine with stock electrical. I always upgrade big 3 which you can google or find on here how to do. Also make sure you run both positive and negative back to the amplifier. You should try to sell or return the capacitor and buy a second battery if anything needs to be upgraded, but 600 RMS will be no problem at all.

sounds good.. thanks for all the help guys! the APSM-1300 it is. last question. just run the subs in parallel/parallel and connect them to one positive and one negative for each channel?

im such a noob at this ****... the amp has subsonic...LPF... and gain.... no ideaaa

yep that will do it on the wiring,

for the gain youll need to find the gain setting thread on here.

put the lpf to 80-100hz and the ssf depends on the tuning of the box, if its sealed then just leave it off, if ported set it about 10hz under tuning.

Please do not skimp out and think you can just hook it up and turn some knobs and it will last. Make sure you do not have the gain set too high or you will wreck your subs and possibly the amp. It is relatively easy to follow the instructions layed out on this very site.

alright sounds good.. i have a better understand for the subsonic and LPF. ill keep the BB off. now i just need to read a gain thread. I appreciate all of the comments!! seriously id be lost otherwise

If you have any other questions as your going post em up. Theres's plenty of people here to help. If you can get some pics for us and a video when its done, I would like to see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I am getting about 600wrms from my apsm1300 and it is not a current hog. If you properly set all of the inputs and leave the boost alone, you will not get dimming lights, I am goinig to upgrade my big3 just for *****$ and giggles. Just be carefull with your gain adjustments, and this thing has a built in fan, and the adjustments are on the bottom. I love mine, I pushed it real good the other day, the fan came on but it was still cool to the touch, I love it.

Will that be a concern on stock electrical??My alt puts out 110 amp, and i do have an cap
Take the cap out, it only hurts things.

Do you have a DMM? For 600rms at 1ohm, you will need to set the gain till the DMM reads 24v. The exact test tone you use depends on the box and whatnot, but I like to use -3db 55Hz.

I do not have a DMM nor do i know how to use one. and test tone? yeah lost me again. i will probably be pushing more like 800. i wouldnt mind an extra 100 watts for each sub

for a dmm go to a auto parts store ask for a Digital Multi Meter and ask if they can show you how to use it.

a test tone is a track that plays a constant sine wave at a set frequency. just google test tones and you should get something usable.
