I was reading the feature on Gary Biggs *****in feat of installation and acoustic mastery..... Ive never heard it but i really wanna!

The question I have is related to the explanation of his volume knob and the "smoothing" of the volume knob. The pictures still look like he has a volume knob on the deck. I like the idea and theory of the vacuum line controlling the internal volume knob of the deck. I checked online at the original deck and it looks exactly the same as the one in his dash.

Anyone know the scoop on this?
