Questions about bridging 2 amps

I just bought a pair of Kicker KX100.2 amps for $50 a piece. I was wondering if i can bridge the two amps together so i can run my 2 polk audio GNX104 subs. I was told that bridging the 2 amps would drain my battery, is this true? Any help would be great.

Here's a link to my amps:

EDIT:

I've decided against it, i found out doing what i had planned would kill my battery and could fry my amps. I'm probably going to return these amps tomorrow and look once again for another amp. I had my eye on a clarion amp here's a link to it: CLARION

Thoughts about this amp???

The subs are already bridged and if i ran each amp to each sub, i would have to cut another hole for the speaker terminal for the other sub. BUT my box is already made. I think i'll be returning these amps tomorrow so i can get one amp with enough power to power both subs. Any thoughts on the clarion amp right HERE

Just cut a hole and put in another terminal cup. 15 minutes and you'll be done. Nothing wrong with Clarion amps, they are fine amps.........but I'd take Kickers over a Clarion

I think i may just return these amps, they were a great deal, but i'm looking for more power. Anyways, running these two amps would drain my battery quicker wouldn't it?

Quicker than what? 200w isn't going to draw a whole heck of a lot of current, you'll likely not even have any headlight dimming.

And that Clarion you linked won't work with the subs you have. According to the link for the subs you posted, they are both 4ohm subs. Which means when wiring them together they would be wired to 2ohm, and that Clarion isn't 2ohm mono stable.

Just keep the Kickers. Spend $1.50 on a terminal cup, take 15 minutes of your time and put it in the box. Re-install the box with your two new Kicker amps, pound away and be happy.

squeak9798 Thanks a alot for you help and input. I do have 15 days for returns, so i guess i'll shop around and see if i can find any good deals on 2ohm stable amps. I really had my heart set on an amp with more WATTS so maybe i can find one in some of the smaller local shops. Thanks for pointing out that the clarion isn't 2ohm stable, i didn't know that, i was under the impression that since it was 2ohm stable at 2 channels it would be stable at 1 channel to.......guess not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif . Any ideas on amps i should look into??? I really want to keep my subs bridged if possible, i'm not sure why, i guess i just like it better with one cup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif and to me it seems a bit cleaner that having two. Thanks again squeak i appreciate the help, and any ideas on an amp which would be good for my subs would be great!

Oh and about it using up more power, i was reading that bridging uses up more power (obviously) but wouldn't bridging both of the kickers drain even more power?

It's all dependent upon the amps efficiency. Bridging those two Kickers won't necessarily draw more current then a single 200w amp.

And here is a great budget amp, will give you all of it's rated 300w @ 2ohm and then some: http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP3001Z. Sounddomain is authorized and it comes with a full 1yr manufacturer warranty. But be careful, just because the subs are rated 175w RMS each, doesn't mean they'll need that much power
