Question for weightlifters

First of all ignore all the BS about stretch tubing and those stupid balls. I am so sick of watching overweight flabby personal trainers putting people on balls with tubes and little girly weight. Your problem has to do with form. You have one shoulder elevated too much. In order to correct this try this:When setting up for any bench pressing motion **** both your shoulder blades together so that they are as close to touching as possible. Make sure they stay together for the entire set. This will take strain off your shoulders and put it on your chest where it belongs. Stay away from balls and tubes they are for fat people and senior citizens who are not looking to work hard enough to get in shape. If you are concerned with "core strength" like the "personal trainer" said then worry about compount movements. Heavy squats, deadlifts and bench press with build up your core strength much faster than a stupid ball will. check out http://www.massmonsters.com for more training info. My user name is the same their as it is here. PM me there if you need more info.
I'll check out that site. I still can't really lift because my low back hasn't healed enough yet. I'll also try to squeeze my shoulder blades together. Thanks for input. I will be using the swiss ball for a while to do crunches. I need some assistance otherwise I'm afraid I will aggravate my back. Tomorrow I will start doing crunches. I'm also able to stretch again, so I have begun stretching out. On a side note, I was reading a little bit about andro and that stuff seems pretty interesting. It comes from some type of tree. It's not a steroid and is legal. I will have to check out the effects it has on the body. Thank you all.

I was under the impression your back was almost fully recovered. Take it very easy while it is still weak. Make sure you warm up before you stretch. Stretching cold muscles can cause injury. 5 minutes on a cross trainer, stretch, lift. Andro is crap. If your looking for pro-hormones look to 1AD, 1-Test, etc. go to http://www.1fast400.com for your prohormone needs.

Are the two products you listed Andro because on that site I see them listed as andro. Also why do you think the andro is crap. I read that other countries have had their olympic athletes use it. Please let me know as I would like all the info possible I'll check out that other site and see if they say anything about it.

Andro itself is crap. Andro is old school in the world of prohormones. It is not crap so to speak. It is beneficial to some but mostly to older athletes. These new prohormones that I mentioned are like updated versions of andro. They have the same goal in mind as andro but are much more successful at it. They are utilized better by the body and are effective to more people than andro is. Andro has almost become a product name for prohormones the way "Walkman" became the product name for portable cassette players. When saying "andro is crap" I am referring to the prohormone androstenedione and not all "andro" products. Like I said, look into the 1 test, 1AD products, basically anything that is a derivatve of 1-testosterone. These seem to be the most effective ones, so I have been told.

This is a joke! Rehab the back, don't worry about pro-hormones. Flabby personal trainers? Why, do you know me, or anybody else posting? I am 176#, 7.5% bodyfat, and bench 315. No need to roast anybody for posting about their own experience or knowledge. You're right, powerlifting has no place with swiss balls and stretch tubing. But a 20 yr old with a severe lower back problem definitely does. There is one thing I agree with, Andro is crap.

I don't plan on taking andro yet. I'm trying to figure out the facts on it. What is the difference between pro-hormones and andro, or is andro a pro-hormone. I was reading some info on it and the problems that they listed for possible side effects were acne, prostate enlargement. From a site I was looking at I believe it said I could get 90 pills for like $70. Protein is running me around that price. When you say andro is crap are you saying it doesn't work, it's cheating, or it's not safe?

Okay looks like I'm going to continue with the all natural route. I posted on a message board and they said basically that andro sucks. It'll give me side effects that I don't want and they said on top of it that it doesn't work very well. Basically they said you're better off doing a real steroid rather than a want to be (andro) because andro can cause more side effects than a good steroid would and a real steroid works. I'm definitely not doing steroids, so that leaves me with all natural. I guess that's why andro is so cheap. Anyways thanks for everyone's input.

He said his back was almost better therefore I felt the ball and tubing was not necessary. Balls and tubing are only for people with limitations due to injury. You suggested based on his first post which indicated it was almost better. I wasn't calling you flabby. I'm just saying that many personal trainers are flabby. All you need to do is take some 2 bit course to be able to work as a personal trainer. Nice stats. 315 bench is very respectable at your size. Currentyl I'm bulking, so I'm sitting around 215lbs with my body fat around 9%. i don't barbell bench anymore. I have much better chest development using dumbells. I'm doing incline db's with 110's for reps now, that's with perfect form all the way down. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify I was not calling you flabby.

Good choice on avoiding the andro. Creatine and protein plus lots of good whole food and a multi-vitamin are all you need.
