question about my sub

i was recently given a 12" Kicker Comp VR..The old school one...Black sub with white, red and yellow writing in the middle.......I know nothing about the sub..Question Is...it has 4 places to hook up speaker wire but how do i figure out what the voice coil configuration is...like is it a dual 4 dual 2 etc.....also, where can i go to figure out how much power it can take, box recommendations etc....

Just get an ohm meter and check one of the sets of voice coils and that will tell you what configuration you have.
