question about guns

Shotgun - if you hear the sound of that summa***** being cocked, you are running. FWIW, my 40 is a 16+1 so you should reconsider upgrading out of that 9mm if you plan on using it for home defense. Unless you are going to run a mozambique on someone, that piece of ass 9mm isn't actually going to take down a target. No doubt they are going to be hurting, but still enough to run away...which I guess is the goal anyway. I'm getting carried away. Stopping power =/= 9mm.
if its stopping power you want then there's only one obvious choice....357 Mag. It has the absolute highest one-shot stop percentage of any handgun out there. Yes even higher than the .44 Mag (altho .50AE, 454 Casull, and some other semi-popular calibers are not part of the reports)

3 rounds center mass will kill you be in 9MM or 40.

If you need a .40 to compensate, thats your problem.

To whoever said the M4, werd son. Werd.

rifle rounds should never be considered for Home defense...too much potential for collatteral damage....altho i thoroughly enjoy my A4

How come everyone seems to have these fancy pistol grip shotguns??? I guess I'm oldschool. BTW, I'd put my gun's patterns up against anyone elses.
It's not fancy.

I keep a short barrel and pistol grip because it is short enough where I can stick it in my mouth and still pull the trigger.

Nah, my Beretta m9 or Springfield XDm 9mm gets that job but no such thing as overkill in a gunfight...at least thats what the marines taught me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
