question about guns

How come everyone seems to have these fancy pistol grip shotguns??? I guess I'm oldschool. BTW, I'd put my gun's patterns up against anyone elses.

a rifle question.. 7mm or 30-06. which one would u choose
Depends on where you hunt and if you take long shots. I would prefer the 7mm for 400 to 1000yard shots but the 30-06 is always reliable up to around 600 if you know your gun. But if you live and hunt in heavily treed areas it completely up to you on which to you use they will both get the job done all assuming the operator knows what (he/she) is doing. If you get my drift.

50 yards...?
An average room is between 8 feet to 15 feet from one end to the other.

That's, by my measurements, 3-5 yards. 50 yards is 1.5 football fields.

You need to facepalm yourself if you think 50 yards is 1.5 football fields. Based on your calculations some QBs can now throw the ball two full football fields //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Shotgun - if you hear the sound of that summa***** being cocked, you are running. FWIW, my 40 is a 16+1 so you should reconsider upgrading out of that 9mm if you plan on using it for home defense. Unless you are going to run a mozambique on someone, that piece of *** 9mm isn't actually going to take down a target. No doubt they are going to be hurting, but still enough to run away...which I guess is the goal anyway. I'm getting carried away. Stopping power =/= 9mm.

3 rounds center mass will kill you be in 9MM or 40.

If you need a .40 to compensate, thats your problem.

To whoever said the M4, werd son. Werd.

if its stopping power you want then there's only one obvious choice....357 Mag. It has the absolute highest one-shot stop percentage of any handgun out there. Yes even higher than the .44 Mag (altho .50AE, 454 Casull, and some other semi-popular calibers are not part of the reports)

rifle rounds should never be considered for Home defense...too much potential for collatteral damage....altho i thoroughly enjoy my A4

It's not fancy.

I keep a short barrel and pistol grip because it is short enough where I can stick it in my mouth and still pull the trigger.

Nah, my Beretta m9 or Springfield XDm 9mm gets that job but no such thing as overkill in a gunfight...at least thats what the marines taught me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
