Q's for atheists and maybe hardcore agnostics

How does one differentiate between evolved vs. adapted? Also what other differences are there between races besides skin color?
There are many genetic differences: Eye lid shape, skin tone, hair type and color (don't know if it's a confirmed fact, but I once heard that Asian women don't have curly pubic hair), etc.

These differences are likely a byproduct of adaptation to a given environment from evolution at a sustained rate for all races taking place.

I'll try to elaborate...

Hominidaes 1-5 move to the area now known as the Himalayas.

Hominidaes 6-10 move to what is now the tropical region of Brazil Hominidaes between the Equator and the tropic of Capricorn.

Hominidaes 7-15 move to what is now the Norway/Sweden area.

Hominidaes 16-20 move to what is known as the Sahara Desert (In Salah in Algeria).

Over time,

This all happened about 150,000 years ago when **** sapiens likely started migrating to different parts of the world (it was likely a land bridge existed between Asia and Alaska at this time.

So intelligence could also be a byproduct of this?

Also what is the definition of **** sapien vs. **** erectus in the timeline?

Who determined the standard and why?

I hate these conversations because NO ONE ever wins.....but I'll put my 2 cents in whether It'd been said or not and try to get peoples brains functioning a different way.

I think the problem with people wanting to believe or not ALWAYS has to do where MAN came from. I say **** thinking about MAN. Darwinism is nothing more than a theory that has no credibility and has NEVER been proven.

So I say, forget thinking about mans beginnings and think about what we live in.

THE UNIVERSE!

I want to know how that was formed. Every theory created is completely ridiculous. My favorite is the big bang theory. All of a sudden a bunch of molecules got together and exploded and all of a sudden POOF THE UNIVERSE!

So where did the molecules come from???? Undeniably EVERYTHING COMES FROM SOMETHING.

This is why I definately believe in a creator (God if you will). I think the world is too perfect with all the problems, it's just too perfect for me. And wouldn't it be ironic for a God or creator too prove that there real, they set it up so all you had to do is walk outside, look up and think hard?????

the discussions usually go nowhere because people like yourself incorrectly presume to know so much about the scientific theories they love so much to criticize.

.....although, i do dislike discussing religion

so where did God come from? he can't have come from nothing. He had to have come from something by your logic

False on every account.

First, you demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding of how the term "theory" is applied in science. Gravity is a theory. Einstein's relativity is a theory. A theory in science is NOT a "guess" or speculation, as it's used in common language. In a nutshell, a scientific theory is a model that describes natural phenomena and is both supported by experimental evidence, and is testable and predictive. Reread that sentence again; a scientific theory is a model that describes natural phenomena and is both supported by experimental evidence, and is testable and predictive. A "fact" in science is an observation. A "theory" is a model or framework for a collection of "facts" based on observed data that can be used to achieve testable predictions. So, you can see how ignorant you appear when tossing around phrases like "nothing more than a theory" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Second, Darwinism DOES have more than adequate credibility as evidenced by the fact that it's the only currently accepted theory that explains the diverse biology and biological evolution seen on Earth's surface. And while you read this, keep in mind that the word theory identifies Darwinian evolution as being supported by experimental evidence, testable (and has been tested for 150 years since the publishing of Origins of Species), and predictive. It is a proven theory.

So I say, forget thinking about mans beginnings and think about what we live in.

You along with every other astronomer and astrophysicist on the planet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Every theory created is completely ridiculous.

Much less ludicrous than proposing an omniscient, omnipotent intelligent being.

My favorite is the big bang theory. All of a sudden a bunch of molecules got together and exploded and all of a sudden POOF THE UNIVERSE!
Not quite an exact explanation of the Big Bang theory.

However, it does explain the present state of the universe quite well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And the observable data certain points toward that being the case aswell.

Undeniably EVERYTHING COMES FROM SOMETHING.
Congratulations, you just defeated your own faith //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

God is not immune from your logic in order for your logic to hold true.

This is why I definately believe in a creator (God if you will).
Hmmm....everything comes from something. Using your own logic, god could not have come into being without there being something before him, since everything comes from something. So you ultimately the reason you believe in a creator......doesn't allow him to exist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

i was hoping you would make an appearance in this thread

I only read the title of this thread and I am sure some one posted the same thing I am about to but...

I thought this thread was going to be about how Fi Q's are for atheists //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Faith vs evolution is very complex, people of with weak beliefs will get killed by people that are mentally more evolved and people with a strong faith will kill people with weak faith, so what is one to believe?

That is my favorite thing to pull on Christians when they begin criticizing my beliefs. "Haha you think the some stuff just got together and bang were here, where did all this stuff come from? God." then I normally reply "Well where did God come from" normally they always try to justify it with he was always there or something like that. I've even had one girl that was trying so hard just walk away.

Thats the other thing that bothers me about Christians. I went to a Christian school for 7 years, I've read the Bible several times, used to go to church 3 times a week. I know mostly everything you're going to tell me to try and change my mind. Why can you not just leave me alone. I don't try to convert you into my beliefs. I just really hate when people who know I don't believe try and invite me to their church so that they can "show me the light"
