Religion terrifies me. To see people that have freedom of will so easily manipulated is sickening. Mindless drones all following hypocrites and blindly believing in nothing of any real value. I have strong morals because I believe in doing what is right. It is truly disturbing that the only reason some people do not go out and commit autrocities is because they are afriad of what god will do when they die. I am a very nice guy and love to help people because it makes me feel good. No religious person I ever met could back up why they believe in god. They throw the word faith around like it is an end-all-be-all answer to everything. They spend so much time thinking of cute little phrases that they cannot open their eyes long enough to see what a waste of energy religion is. Religion and its followers have caused more heartache and suffering than any "devil" could ever dream of. As for the chrisitian values, I am supposed to dedicate my life to the most jealous and petty being ever so that when I die i can worship him some more? no thank you jesus. I also find it repulsive that jesus freaks cna yell in your face in public about how cool jesus is and how I need him but If I call Jesus a figment of a fairytale, people are taken aback like i stabbed someone. Prolly some spelling mistakes in here, but oh well I got my point across. At least you ask some legit questions (although honestly they sounded insulting but its cool)

You are entitled to your opinion; but honestly what answer would be acceptable to you about why one would believe in Jesus other than their "faith?" I can read to you the bible as my "faith" and you still will not have an acceptable answer. Just as you chose to not believe, I and millions of others chose to believe, to say one or the other is right/wrong is impractical to do as we are both chosing to believe something of our own free will.

Mmmmm, you call him petty and jealous and yet you don't believe in him; how can he be those things if you don't believe in him; you have to believe in him to a certain degree to consider him those traits - but I pose this to you; how can someone who freely gives their life for the salvation of men be petty and jealous? what does he have to be jealous of?

that is an impractical question; the correct question would be do I have the obligation to marry her and have children? Several things would have to be in place; (1) She would have to all ready not have offspring, (2) I would have to not be married, (3) She would have to agree to the relationship and (4) I would have to be Jewish as what you are asking is a religious belief practiced by the Jewish religion - but nice try, stick to economics

Prayer isn't an easy way out; action still needs to be done with the answers given.

That brings a question to mind:

Isn't it that if a human were to communicate in any way with Yahweh/Jehovah, including having a prayer answered, that person is considered a prophet?

Would that mean that all people that "talk" to Jehovah in this manner are prophets?

And would that mean the prophets responsible for writing the bible are nothing special then, since every one has the capability to communicate with Jehovah?

Question for the Christians - I've always wondered this
OK, so if you're not a Christian you're going to Hell right? So are you saying that everyone in the world right now that strongly believes in Buddah, Allah, whatever, no matter how they live is still going to go Hell? What about the millions, if not billions of people that died prior to 2000 years ago (or however old Christianity is)? Even though they were never even aware of Christianity, do they also get the "Go Straight To Hell, Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200" card?

I don't think I've ever had anyone that could explain that concept to me.

But, why would he need to "judge" given the following:

The only true way in to heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; not by believing in God. There are plenty of people who believe in "God" who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

It sounds like an either or proposition to me.

I know it's a figure of speech...I've heard many Canadians use it before, and don't care for it.

Aside from the fact that it is unconstitutional in the US, it is just another example of the government and its decisions being ruled by Monotheists.
