x2. Only real reason why I use the SPC for RCAs I linked is because I like his color selection and the quality of the insulation, as well as his customer service.

Imo unless you just have money to blow its not a necessary upgrade. In the car environment it would be inaudible. Even in a home setting I would imagine in being minimal at best

Like said above, the only place silver wire would have any chance of making a noticeable difference would be in the signal chain (RCA interconnects), and a few companies have and do make them. But if you are that concerned about fidelity, optical is a more practical and effective solution.

I can't believe that car audio hasn't evolved to the point where we are using optical cables rather than RCAs. I mean my dad's old record player from the 70s has RCAs outs on it.

I can't off the top of my head think of any head units that have optical out, and I definately can't think of any amplifiers that do. I can imagine that there are some pretty high priced H/U that may have it as an alternate out, but what would you connect it to, other than an converter to take the optical to rca further down the line.

I think the Zapco C2k series have optical ins but other than that I can't think of any. Like Kmanian said, yes you can do it but there's still going to be RCAs somewhere in the audio path most likely.

Pioneer and Alpine both have optical-capable processors at the top of their lines.

A fully optioned H/U with x-overs, eq, t/a... and optical straight to your amplifiers! wouldn't get much better than that!

My Clarion heads have optical outs. Some of the Pioneer amplifiers even have optical inputs on their amplifiers along with the heads and processors that JimJ already mentioned.

There are a few drivers that do use silver voice coils, eccentric stuff though.
