PS2 and DLP Problem

I have a rear projection DLP, and I just hooked my PS2 up to it, to play a little baseball. I noticed the commands from my controller are really delayed. I know its not the system or controller, because I just hooked it up to another TV and it works just fine. Anyone else have this problem? Are DLPs just really poor for any sort of gaming?

Never heard of such a thing I have used PS2, XBOX and XBOX 360 on my DLP and never had an issue.

Have you tried another input maybe the one you are using is going bad?

Ill give that a try, the TV is only about 9 months old or so, so hopefully its not going bad. It is a very noticeable problem though...

Is the game itself lagging?

I know DLP's in general have the worst lag when it comes to SD video gaming.

I guess its not really lagging. Just when I press my controls, its delayed.

I went into my menu, and there was a video game option, I turned it on, because it said it will accelerate the screen. Its a lot better now, but its still delayed. i played call of duty on a dlp at best buy. no lag at all. i also played DDR at frys on one, and you know lag sucks *** on ddr if u were to have lag. but it played fine.

are u using any video distributor or switcher? or direct

Its hooked up direct....

Maybe around Christmas I can splurge and get another TV.

What model do you have? I have a 2+ year old Mitsu and it works fine.. I think something is screwed with your TV because I never had any issues and I get no lag at all.

Did/Do you still have it under warranty? I got a 4 year additional one with mine and they have been out once to fix the screen and already for two bulbs so it is well worth it if you do.

Its the Samsung HL-S4676S. Yea, I bought the extended warranty as well. Like I said, once I adjusted it, its a lot better, but still not good enough to play on and not get frustrated.
