Alrighty, guys and gals....here's the latest item on Prowler's "For Sale" block.
It came to me in a big box of other assorted junk and that's about all I can tell you about its origins. I have never used Proton gear myself and I do not personally know anyone else that has used it either so I make no claims about this unit's quality or expected longevity. All I can tell you with any degree of certainty is that it works (at least it works using a low-level input via RCA interconnects....I have not tried using the built in high-level inputs to see how/if they work)
All I did was take it out of the box of junk it was included in and give it power+ground+remote+signal input and connected the speaker outputs to an el-cheapo speaker box I keep around for testing purposes.
It powered up and it plays. By the time this thread gets posted it will have been playing for over two hours solid with no issues. A label on the bottom of the unit claims 22 watts per channel output but doesn't say whether or not this is an RMS or a peak rating.
Compact design will allow for mounting in locations other units simply will not fit:
7 1/8" wide (not including the removable mounting legs) / 6" deep including terminal protrusion, and a mere 1 5/8" thick (again without the removable mounting legs)
Here's pics:
Cash price I'm looking for around $30, I reckon? Open to trades so if that's a preference then let me know what you have and I'll let you know if I want/need it!
My references are listed (and linked to so you can easily check their validity!) in my signature for those that would like to have a peek at my trading practices.
