ok so heres what happened i was moving my box with two AQ sd2.5 to reposition them with the volume faily low 20 40 is max when the bumping stopped and i noticed my amp in protect mode so i checked my connections and my wire came out of the terminal shorting the amp out hifonics bxi1610d so i shut off my truck reconnected wires and powered back up still in Pro mode so i disconnected rcas speaker and bass remote leaving only pwr remote and gnd still in pro mode i completely disconnectd the amp and waited 1 day to maybe reset it pwrd up still pro mode then i read to disconnect and touch + and - on the amp to release the charge and i did but still i pwrd up and still nothing i tested the transistors with my dmm + on the base and - on the emitter and collector and they all tested ok im pretty sure i did it right any feedback would be great i tried to be as descriptive as possible

thanks ryan

most amps protect against speaker shorts like that but the bxi line is pretty meh. it probably doesn't have any protection against shorts and thus fried something. if i were you i would just get a new amp but there are a couple people on here that repair amps, so idk

i wouldn't bother repairing it if i were you, just find a better amp lol. whats your budget, and what subs were you running?

prob 75 max i was running an AQ 12" d2 copper coils
you'll be hard pressed to find an amp for that price. if you can double that budget, you can get a brand new audiopipe 1500 from vminnovations for like $140 shipped after using a coupon code

no i meant for a repair not a new amp haha already ordered Hifonics HFi100.4 for speakers and hifonics HFi2000D for subs soon to be 2 12" HDC3 d1 copper coils

i had that happen to one of my amps and it doesn't work. i asked my local audio store for average price it would cost to get fixed and they said between $100-300, but i never had them looked at it. ...so now its just a paperweight.
