Im building a box for my L5 anyway heres the dimensions so far

width 24 inches

height 15.5 inches

depth 15 inches

now my sub is not centered, its off to the right side, so i can make the vent on the left, now the vent is going to be open 14 inches in height, so my question is how wide should i make it?

and inside the box that im building how far should i make the wood go back? should i leave 2 inches from the back of the box and then go across, and how far should i go across with the last piece?

What size L5? If its a 15" look for somewhere in the 50-60in^2 region. If its a 12", 25-40in^2 would be good...
yea its the 12'

ok so your saying the board going to the back should be about 12.5 inches in depth, and the board behind it going across should go nearly to the end? about 16 inches across?

I dont understand what your saying...

Your port opening, W x H should be 14" x 2"-2.75". I would do 2.5". So a 14"x2.5" port gives you an area of 35in^2...

Your porth length is a function of port area and net volume. What net volume do you want? I'll crunch the numbers real quick...
