Project: wifes old school Camry

As I said earlier, Old stigmas die hard. Ill just go out and drive my 1990 Honda CRX with 212,000 miles and go by the junkyard where cavaliers with less than half that mileage and are 5-6 years newer sit. Your not going to convince me that GM/Ford/Dodge's vehicles can compete with a honda, ive worked on too many of each of them to agree.
Maybe current production is different, but we'll see in 4-5 years when these cars have aged
No one wants to convince you to stop believing in fallacies. Hell keep praying to God if that makes you happy too.

Why do you keep falling back on a comparison between the Cav and Civic? I drive a Cav, I know what it is. It is a POS. However you don't rate overall reliability/quality and durability from only the baseline econobox a company offers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I digress. You obviously are the only one in the world to have worked on cars, therefore you should be the only authority for them. Every major publication and organization should put you in charge of surveying, rating and personally handing out awards each year to manufacturers.

I will agree to disagree this point forward and ask that you keep this BS out of my "install thread". This isn't the lounge.

I like Chad and all, but word!

Didn't get too much done this weekend. Just got the baffle board built and test fitted it. 1.5" thick, flush mount. I am really going to like the look of the inverted IB in here.

Not a big update. I just made some simple MDF mounts for the amps and installed them to check fit. Nice and simple.

This weekend I will remove the amps and baffle and rid the trunk of carpet and plastic, so I can start covering holes.

i know absolutely nothing about IB installs, but wouldnt keeping the rear seats up create almost a leaky sealed box in this install? or will the rear seats always be down...or am i just wrong about all of it?

looks clean though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

When I am driving the seats will be down. The seats won't seal up that much where it will affect too much. Plus the backs of those seats are riddled with holes for the pressure to go through the fabrics. It would act more like an Aperiodic Membrane if anything. It is hard to get true IB in a car to begin with. It is just called that for lack of better terms. Most trunks generally don't supply enough volume to be considered true IB. Close enough for me though.
