~Project Avalanche~ Series 6th Order Bandpass Rebuild.

coming along great man. I know what you mean about fitting builds in around school and other crap. My build got pushed back because of a leaking radiator, efan crapping out and mid terms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Should be back up to speed soon. I look forward to seeing the finished product. Are you gonna post any of this on caco?
i think im gonna wait until its done, then i'll do a post on CACO of the whole thing.

and jrob, those are just to keep the box moving until everything is in. The box is going to be foamed in, its not gonna go anywhere.

And the amp rack is going on the front of the box, not the back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

sounds good

i like the build, but,...
why buy a truck if you can't haul anything?

P.S. i looked at geting an avalanche to do something simular, but, smaller.
Bought the truck for 4 wheel drive. It was that or a tahoe, i liked the avalanche better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

btw how much weight are you adding? any update in suspension? what mileage you're getting?

no one have trunk here, gaz is so expensive, it's a turn off. I'd like to have one, but it already cost me like 50$ per week in gaz on a elantra gt, while i'm doing like 250miles per week

How did you seal off the bed from the cabin? Just traced out the midgate on a piece of wood and used the wood as a new midgate and cut that to get the box front through?

I washed mine and the bed was a little wet inside. So I would need to use some type of sealant on the outside of the box, or resin the whole outside. Would also need to seal the cab from the bed, thats why Im wondering how you did yours.

box sits in the bed, i build a beauty panel on the front of the box fitted to the seal in the opening to the cab. Caulk the edge of the beauty panel to seal it up nice and tight.

Once thats on, i run a bead of caulking along the top side of the box behind the beauty panel, just for save measure.

Make sure to leave a little bit of room to leaky water to run down into the drains. As long as your box is sealed (enamel paint is cheap and works great), the water will run to the drains, and it'll be fine.

I also caulk my bed panel seals though.
