trying to set my brutus using a dmm and 50hz sine wave.

disconnecting the power wire from the sub, everything is set as it should be. im making sure dmm is set to ac v~.

every single time i hook up the dmm it puts the amp in protect. i have to turn everything off then back on. and my dmm never says anything.

help me please /beg

Never heard of this before.......

Sure you're plugging the DMM into the right spots //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Are you sure you have a good DMM? Try borrowing someone else's and see if the same thing happens. My only guess is that the DMM is shorting out the amp's speaker terminals, which would mean the DMM would have to have a problem internally.

if you put it in to read how many ohms it is.. i think it might do that? i'm not sure im just assuming it would becuz a DMM sends current to the device and recieves it so i guess its like shorting or connecting the terminals together?? i dunno just a guess.. can it read other devices' voltage drops?
