I have 2 jl w'3 and a rockford fosgate 2 channel 800 watt amp and one rockford farad cap. My problem is that I keep on blowing my 60 amp fuses and also my amps over heats too quick. I went to the shop where I got it hooked up and they unbridged my connection but I'm not getting as much power as before. I want to bridge my amp but my fuses keep on blowing. Can somebody tell me whats the problem?

Are your subs DVC or SVC and what is the rated resistance? What awg wire are you using..For the 800 you had better not be running less than 4awg or that may be the biggest factor in blowing fuses and your amp getting hot.

They are dvc and I used 4awg wires. What else could be the problem

How are the subs wired. series or parallel? The amp may be seeing to low of a ohm load. remember when you bridge a 2ch amp to 1ch the amp see's half of the measured ohm's. IF the measured ohm's is 2ohm the amp sees 1 ohm. That is two low for most amps. That could be why the amp is blowing fuses and overheating. Good luck

IT'S VERY LIKELY THAT BY BRIDGING YOUR AMP BEFORE IT DAMAGED YOUR POWER SUPPLY. LOTS OF TIMES AMP POWER SUPPLIES ARE DAMAGED BECAUSE INSTALLERS DONT KNOW THAT WHEN YOU HAVE AN AMP THAT IS STABLE AT 2 OHMS (LIKE YOUR PUNCH AMP) THE AMP IS STABLE TO TWO OHMS ONLY IN A STEREO CONFIGURATION. THAT 2OHM LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY TO BRIDGED MODE IF YOU LOOK ON THE BACK OF THE AMP YOU WILL NOTICE THAT IT SHOWS A 4OHM CONFIG. FOR BRIDGE MODE . READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL AND IT STATES THAT YOUR AMP WILL BE DAMAGED IF YOU DONT OBSERVE THE OHM LIMITATIONS
