i have a 97 jeep grand cherokee and it has a new battery.. on it.. ok i have a quantum 1500d amp pushing my 2 15 in L5's at 1 ohm and my batt gauge goes from 12 to 9 and my battery won't stay charged for some reason.. sometimes it will crank right up.. i need some advise..

With that drastic of a voltage drop I'd say you don't have near enough alternator to supply the needs of your Jeep + the current demands created by your audio gear.

Upgrading the Big 3 will help to a small degree but I would suggest it won't nearly completely cure the problem.

Definitely you need to do the Big 3 but I would suggest you have an investment in a High Output alternator in your near future.

Keep discharging your battery that severely it will fail...and most likely sooner than later.
