Problem with Setup, need help

Okay i have a 12" Alpine Type X with a MRD-M1005 powering it, Stock head unit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif 4AWG Power Wire 3 ground wires, and its in a custom sealed box i made. When i first hooked it all up it bumped fine, kept that full bass and power, now i seem to be having a problem with the sub getting louder and decreasing volume like a wave. I dont know if its that i need a capacitor or whatever but i can tell you my headlights, interior lights, everything dims. What could the problem be? Thanks

Well what happened was i never had gotten a 4AWG ground wire, so i used 2 8AWG and 1 10AWG wires to ground my amp in different locations. What is the big 3 btw, ive heard of it but never learned what it was, and would a capacitor help my problem at all? Maybe i am going deaf lol

could be that your ears are just used to it now. i know im used to my XXX at full tilt off a 2500d and three batts lol and i know for a fact i have hearing loss //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Well i have a question, what should my amp be set at usually, gain goes from .1 to 8.0, LPfilter 25?-200, LP slope 12-24 DB, Subsonic Fileter 15-30db, and bass boost 0-18db. If anyone knows thatwill be great, i mean i have a stock head unit so setting the amp is difficult. i mean i may be getting used to it and have hearing loss, but for example, theres one song right now that i play on my system and it bumps loud as hell and theres no clipping/damage being made to my sub, i dont understand? the songs that used to be loud arent. BTW how easy is it to get hearing loss?
