Problem with RE Audio SE 12" Subwoofer

Ok, so the thing is that I've been using this subwoofer for about 8 months now and never had a problem with it before, I'm powering with a Kicker ZX750.1 amp. A few days ago I was listening to some music and the sub suddenly died, after beeing dead for aprox 3 min it came back on. The same thing happend 3 times but the third time it didn't come back on!!! now it's dead for good. The light on the amp is green. check the impedence with a dmm and ur tinsel leads...

check the coils with a dmm. a clipped signal for 6+months could of cuzed this. or the speaker wire came undone.

First check the coils of the woofer. Then i would go to the amp, I have had amps not go into protection but still have the input of the amp go bad!

I suspect this...since you say your amp is getting power.

I tried another sub in the kicker amp and it works I guess I burned that sh** what a piece of crap I'm never buying a RE sub again, I'm going for the JL 12w7 this time

It's more likely called you didn't know how to set the gains. Clipped signal = blown sub.

Re Makes a good product. Months of beating on a sub will break it. Sounds like a user error to me not the sub

probably broken tinsel leads. pull the sub & let us know what you find.

just get the w7, you cant blow a jl sub

Got the sub out, I tested the coils with a multimeter and it shows ".0" DEAD!!

I'm getting a JL for good
