He had a set of rca's we ran straight from the HU to the amp and there was nothing....now that you say that it couldnt be the wiring in the speakers could it if we ran the rca's straight back and they still didnt work??
You have to test one thing at a time.
If you ran different RCA's from the headunit to the amp and there was nothing, it could be the headunit OR the speakers.
If you ran different RCA's from the headunit to the amp hooked up to DIFFERENT speakers and there was still nothing, then it's the headunit OR the amp
If you ran the amp off the ipod and there was nothing, it's the amp or speakers
If you ran the amp off the ipod to DIFFERENT speakers and there's nothing, it's the amp.
If you ran the amp off the ipod to DIFFERENT speakers and it works, then it's your speakers or wiring.
There's a lot of variables to test.
the next step I would do is take the speakers out of your doors, test the voice coils with a DMM and see what they read.
