Problem with my speakers, need diagnosis

just starting today, i'm having a problem with my speakers. i guess i'll give you a quick idea of my system...

Headunit: Pioneer Premier DEH 770mp

Sub: Type R 12''

Sub Amp: Orion 600D

Speaker Amp: US Amps 200x2 multi-channel

so starting today, i have a popping sound coming out of my speakers. I just have two speakers, one in each door, and then my sub. The popping sound is completely random. It doesn't come at certain parts of the songs, it's completely irregular. The best way i can explain it is it almost sounds like a short or something. I didn't really do anything out of the ordinary. I didn't turn my radio up anymore than normal, i didn't try to show it off or anything, it just started happening while i was driving. Turned my car on and off, made sure all of my settings on my HU weren't changed away from normal.

Any ideas?

ughhhh well it went away so i just left it alone because i'm lazy, and i kind of run along the lines of "well i don't want to fuck anything up so i'll just leave it"

well it came back today, except for just coming out of my left speaker, it now comes out of both of my speakers.

think it's probably a short in my amp connections?
