Problem With My 2 12" kicker comps

just try reversing the wires on one of the subs on the amp.

so i should set it up regular and non-bridged?

and there is no risk of blowing my subs when doing this?

it could be cause he had a ported box and you have a sealed box.
and if it is only 300w the each sub is only seeing around 150 were as if you had 1 hooked up it would be seeing the full 300

one would see only 150.. then droping the impedence in half then he would get the full 300

if one sounds way better than two your out of phase. get your dmm out. if you dont have one go to walmart and get one for $10

alright out of phase means that one sub is pumping out the right way, and one is reversed, causing it to be backwards on the hits. let us know what impedances your subs are. are they single voice coil or dual? 2ohm or 4ohm? when you let us know the details, we can tell you exactly how to hook it up to make them perform the best..

ive seen cases where they will be 2 ohm single voice coil subs, and since the amp isnt 1 ohm stable, it will be wired to 4ohms... cutting the output in half.. when you cut the output in half and run 2 subs, each sub is only getting about 75 watts. just let us know and we will be more than happy to help.

okay.. you sure they are 8omh subs and not 4ohm? do you have the box or have you looked on the sub to make sure?

pull the subs out of the box...and check...just because you was told that dont mean its true...you could have them wired wrong.

okay so if they are both 8ohm subs, that means you can only wire them to 4 ohms.. meaning youre only getting 150 (aproximately) watts from the amp, meaning each sub is getting 75.. causing them to not move much.

if they are both 4 ohm, you can wire them to 2ohms, giving you the full power of the amp and 150 each.

go ahead and pull both subs out and look on the back of them to make sure they are 8 ohm subs. go ahead and get a pic of the backs as well so we can show you how to wire them to get as much power as you can.

Yep, if they were 4ohm subs ud be getting full potential of ur amp...
