A Problem With My dual 12" kickers?
ok i have 2 12" 300 watt kicker comps hooked up to a 300 watt kicker amp in a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse
and when i hook them both up they dont hit as good its not as loud and doesnt sound as good
but when i hooke up just one it hits really good
ive tried hooking them up standard and bridged and it does the same thing
this happend before and it just started working and then i swaped out the wires that go from the amp to the subs becuase they werent mine and now its doing the same thing
anyone ever have this problem and know how i can get it fixed?
Additional Details
I got this amp for free from my friend he had dual 600w subs and it hit fine. and i had them hitting before and there wasnt a problem and then when i unhooked them and hooked them back up it stopped hitting well
the box is a wood non ported box
i understand that the amp is only pushing half of the watts that the subs can handle but they were hitting hard enough for me
but now they arent hitting as hard as they should be
i checked all the wiring
i have it bridged with wiring going from positive on one sub to positve on the other and negative to negative from the same sub to the other
it all looks right i even had my friend check it
it sounds as if they are under powered but i know they are not since they were hitting super hard before with the amp
it sounds almost as if there is not alot of bass but since the problem i havent touched the gain or bass boost nobs
the switch is set to lo pass
would a problem with the deck effect this in any way?
