Problem with hifonics amp

I hooked up a stinger capacitor (SPC505) and charged it with the included resistor. Now when I try to hook up my amp (Hifonics Brutus 2610D) to the capacitor it just shoots sparks before i can get the power wire hooked up to the capacitor. Capacitor has normal voltage, I checked, checked, and rechecked wiring. Grounds are all secure. What do you think could be causing this?

they always spark so take it and run to the nearest lake and throw it in as far as u can and buy a battery:veryhapp:

lose the cap and do the big 3 to your electrical system

i had a cap once and i charged just like directions said and when i went to connect pos wire it always sparked,,scared the sht out of me everytime..
