Problem wiring deck and Dynamat questions

I have a pioneer deh-p6500, I wired it in my 95 maxima gxe.. NON BOSE, (i heard people were having more trouble trying to install an aftermarket deck on the bose system ones.) Any way, it worked fine for a couple hours but all of a sudden it shut off. My lights got messed up for a little while also, one door light was blinking when i opened the door. I let the car sit for a little while and all the light flickering stopped. The deck still doesn't work, the wires that were powering my deck (coming from the car) now have no electricity running through them. I was thinking about tapping into the ciggarette lighter, which is where my deck is grounded. It works to power it and everything but I just need some opinions before I continue with my work. Also, I just bought 2 mtx thunder axe separates 6001, and 2 thunder dome axails 6502, I will be powering these by and amp, im not sure which one yet but they will be working to their full extent. I have 2 12" alpine s12s in the trunk, is dynamat / sound deadening materials necessary ? I was thinking of going with some peel n seal but I'm not sure. I'm new to the audio scene and just need some advice. Thanks!

First off, get a clean ground for the radio. Secondly, that's an older radio. Did you get it used, or have you have it a while? Either way, it may be giving up. Internal amp failure possibly, or even a speaker that's acting up once it's good and warm. Your cigarette lighter isn't your best bet for power.
