next day I tried to fit first box in, wont fit all the way back because of the amp rack on the side. Trimmed amp rack, box still wont fit. Had to go to work, leave it for the next day.

Today I thought about putting the amp in the spare tire well. Tire sits too high to let amp sit on top and I don't want to take out the tire. Though about putting the amp upsidedown under the rear deck, rear trunk struts are in the way. Now I'm thinking about other ideas that may not work.

Why not just mount amp on the box. As long as your box is stout, you use bolt, nut, and rubber washer/bushings you should be gucci

This is why u dry fit and mock stuff up with cardboard ..problem solved..u learned the hard way . Its ok as long as u learn ..good luck

I gotta plan to put the amp in the spare tire well tomorrow. Gonna take the tire out and put it on the floor of the back seats.

Man, there's not much help people can give you. Like others said, planning is everything.

Actually, planning alone has caused me months of delays in previous builds.

Once you take every single component of the system into account and where and what it needs to be, the wires that need to feed that system, the room it needs, the area it's in and any other multiple possible issues there's hours of planning even for the simplest systems.

Oh I planned as best as I could.

I planned how the new boxes would fit and everything. What I forgot to realize was the amps positioning and things like trunk struts, hinges, etc......

Now I need to get the amp totally out of the way.

What's bothering me even more, is the possibility of the second box not fitting in the trunk. From the front to the back of the trunk I have about 36 inches. The two boxes would take up 34 inches. many people have put amps in the spare tire well, so running wires shouldn't be an issue.

I spent time this morning figuring out a way to build a new amp rack in the spare tire well without doing too much work and using existing material. Tomorrow it should all be done with. Amp rack will be built, boxes (hopefully both...) will be put in there.

Can't put both boxes in because of the stupid trunk opening dimensions. Fucking trunk cars.......
