Behind the fets it's just a very thin plastic film no traces of thermal paste or nothing.. Looking at my Z150 it has the same film but on the back of the flim it has a white paste between the film and heatsink..Well it kind of depends on what that material is behind the fets (what you circled are mosfets). Normally they come from the factory with sil pads behind them and lots of thermal grease. But we have some new heat sink compound at work that's a green sheet that has it's own strange thermal paste on it, it's a solid but it goes through a phase change at a certain temp and turns into more of a paste. But anyway, can you tell what that material is behind the fets? My guess is, he cleaned off all the paste to make it easier to work on and just threw some cardboard or something in there so he could test it without shorting anything out. Everything about this story just screams unprofessional and I would seriously be demanding money back if I were you.
By the picture of the guts I posted can you point out what the drivers are and the outputs these were supossed to be all replaced and I'd like to see if I can tell or not if they have in fact been replaced..
Thanks in advance.
